Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.

Well the blue colour from the backside of the ID Card keeps going thru my mind.
And if they have a separate card for the HUB maybe it could look like this....

For the street version I will make another backside.

the Chip makes sense as that is on other cards used to access computers and similar systems.

Also, there's no reason to display a government security clearance on a regular ID card. We do not do it on ours in the Army. Your name is usually on an access roster or something similar. Part of the reason is that your clearance can expire or be up or downgraded with no relevance to the card being issued or expiring. makes sense for a card being held at the HUB, but makes more sense for temporary badges or specific access badges that only work for certain buildings/facilities/meetings/etc...

I have seen some security clearance cards where I am, but I do not feel comfortable discussing them in detail, even if it's "known" on the web.

Yeah in this week's episode the cards that are used in public are the other style so yes it's safe to say only cards meant for internal compound use have clearances on them.

As for the chip I don't think I've ever seen cards have them on the back side with the mag strip, can anyone disprove this?

Ours are on the front side, but it doesn't really make a difference, depending on the card reader you're only seeing the top half to top 1/8" of the card. wouldn't make much difference if it's on the front or back.

Mhm I'm just saying that I don't think cards are actually made anywhere with the chip and strip on the same side is all.

There is most likely a standard for such cards that dictates this though, just like how there's a standard length/width/thickness/corner radius etc.

Just to note, the back of the cards are white. The blue was the result of the blue light given off the card reader reflecting on the cards at the check in.

I still don't think the chip would be there since if there was a chip it wouldn't be on the stripe side, I'm sure there's standards regarding that stuff just like how there's a standard height, width, thickness etc.

Also I'm pretty sure SHIELD is it's own organization that's not under a governing body and if it was it wouldn't be under the UN or the U.S. Government like some IDs have been labelled (IM2 ID/Reelfakes IDs here on the RPF).

Thaaanks :p Also I have read the article before, I was referring the the MCU version of SHIELD because in the Avengers it's not quite clear who they answer to in terms of governments or organizations (besides whoever the World Security Council is).

It's this ambiguity that caused the US Military to cancel their involvement with production of the Avengers film as I think they only agree to help with films where the President of the United States is the one who is at the top of the chain of command.

At the end of they day though who cares haha people can put whatever they like on their props :p
