Hey all,
On Wednesday Oct. 3rd my (pregnant) wife and I went to the Arclight Cinema for the AFI 40 year movie night where several top 100 AFI films were presented by either the stars of the movie or the director. Besides getting to see Clint Eastwood, Kirk Douglas, Rob Reiner, Angela Lansbury...we had tickets to see Rocky presented by Talia Shire and Sylvester Stallone. Sly got up in front of the theater and talked a bit about making the film and then left. As he was leaving a few people ran up to him to get things signed and I went the other way in the theater and caught Sly at the exit and asked him to sign this boxing glove. He did it and I was soooo psyched! My wife LOVES Rocky, so this will never leave our collection!

I enjoyed the last Rocky film

I thought not having her in the film made it a better movie

I mean really, she's been the reason he did all these things from Rocky 2 on...
"win Rocky, win..."

now we get to see how Rocky gets by without her

btw, sweet score

I really enjoyed 'Rocky Balboa' too. I wasn't expecting too, but I thought it was a good movie..at least, a good 'Rocky' movie.

Jedifyfe, any ideas yet how you will display this?

congrats man, my grandfathers brother, i guess that might be an uncle? well anyway he is good freinds with sly, has pictures of him sitting on the couch having dinner and watching tv and such. im pissed the oldman never let me meet him :)

You should have traded that in for an Angela Lansbury autograph... MMMMM... Murder She Wrote....

That's pretty cool BigJoe!! As for how I will display these...I think I will get either a shadowbox made or UV protection case made. I will display them with the AFI tickets I have for the ROCKY showing and the pic of my wife and I.

As for the last Rocky movie...I was just dissapointed that it was an attempt at recreating the feeling we all had for the first film and I just felt that it was kinda done half-ass. I think it wasn't the worst Rocky movie but deffinately doesn't rank in my top 4 Rocky movies.

Thanks all

Brad

Yeah, really nice auto!

I went there for the Aliens screening they had a while back and got a lobby still autographed by all the guys who were there including Gale Ann Hurd and Carrie Hein who played newt. I also saw Aliens on the big screen which was worth the price of the ticket! If you live in the LA area, try to go to one of these screenings as they are always worth it!
