Hi guys this is my first post really new to the community, have been interested of making a helmet like for 3 years now, last time I tried it did not go well, helmet parts got printed short, and this is my first time Im willing to experiment before going to do my own myself first I need to know how to set the printer settings for pepakura hahaha I remember the helmet would fit a cat ahaha, but it wouldnt fit me so I did not get to finish it, now im having 2 options guys sadly cus i dont know how to set the printer i bought a already done iron man pep, and also bought this cheap disguise iron man helmet I was wondering if from the already done helmet that is a cheap plastic, any good can come of it? Thats what this experiment is all about the other pep is to try my first time step by step everything hopefully everything will go out well and will have you guys updated im 19 and i really look up to the younger guys that make awesome helmet and also the veterana that make unique helmets, I hope you guys can lend me a hand I will sincerly appreciate it

Please look at the video , this video contains the "cheap" helmet I purchased I wanna try the experiment from here, Putting the fiberglass from the inside with the resin and stuff and bondoing on the outside, now that -I saw the video again it contains 2 parts the facemask is actually removable so I think it can be worked out please let me know, also when the pep files arrives I will start the other one , then the third one I will start it from scratch.

interesting Idea , I'd start by putting a thin coat of resin, inside first and let it dry , then using small batches of resin , start building up more layers adding tissue paper as if you were laying fibreglass , this should allow you to build up a reasonably thick layer inside making the helmet more rigid. Repeat the process on the faceplate , you might want to add a two-part hinge to the middle of your faceplate , so it will swing up and back, and you could add LED lights to the eyes, which I think wilbe the maximum you can do as I don't think there is enough room to add a servo , but I could be wrong !

Trust me.. it does! I like to do it this way for two reasons ,tissue and resin gives me better control of the thickness and strength , as I can vary it according to how I want., and two I'm allergic to Fibreglass!!!!
