So I've messaged a lot of people about this, some asking if they'd take commissions, others for advice on how to go about doing this project - but I still want MOAR. I've been thinking about making Tali's costume from ME2, but I'm pretty new at all this and I'm completely stumped on how to go about crafting her helmet.
I'm pretty good with sculpting, but don't readily have access to a vac-form machine for the visor. I also haven't touched clay or plaster in a very long time, so I'm not even sure where to start. I thought about modding an open-faced motorcycle helmet (per someone's suggestion), but I'm worried about it looking too... cheesy? I'm kind of a stickler for detail.
Any help (commissions) or advice on what to do would be really helpful. (I went out and bought a dremel for another project, but that's pretty much the only "costuming" tool I have other than your average cordless driver, etc. I also live in an apartment with limited access to a garage, so space can be an issue).
Thanks!
