Advice needed please - Does polyfoam deteriorate with time as with Latex?

Hi All,

I'm new to the forum and weren't certain which section to ask this (Mod please move if needed) - I'm basically looking for some help.

Does anybody here know whether Polyfoam deteriorates? I have a prop replica I'm interested in however unclear on the longevity. I did ask the question on the RPF facebook group however only received one response, which contradicts the response I received from the seller, so I'm not sure.

One said Polyfoam deteriorates however not as fast as latex, whereas the seller said Polyfoam will not deteriorate with time as it is chemical based not biodegradable like Latex - which is the correct answer?

Anybody know at all? I'm guessing its an unfamiliar material within prop making

The seller is not accurate as Polyfoam will degrade over time.
