Admins what's up with this update..it's buggy

I'm having problems listing photos..is this the new way or is it just buggy right now? When I type the url for my photos, it shows the whole photo in my template, and it's a pain to add more than 1 picture now because of it.
Is this going to be fixed?

Also, I can't tell how to get to my messages without clicking User CP. Isn't there a means of seeing whether I have new messages, some kind of notification? Or is that screwed up too?

I hated it when the New Messages went from blinking (easily visible) to steady (something I have to look for). Now I don't even see a Messages indicator. Much less, a New Messages indicator.

um top right it says 'Private messages'


... next off go to usercp > edit options > show new pm notification.

just don't use tags....

there is also an attachment utility when you post new threads / replies (replies through POST REPLY not quick reply)...

um yea... no... they've been AWOL since this began at midnight, and I assure you they were discussing vBulletin board and well aware of it BEFORE 2007... so yea.

All my subscribed threads are missing...all the notes I kept in the notepad of the control center too...lost quite a bit of resource there.

My inbox/outbox is reversed as well. And all the messages I ever sent from the day I joined is all there, since December 2005. Well at least now I can go through them and keep the ones I wish I have saved

Could've sent out a PM to everyone to tell them to backup whatever they need to keep...Was there a notice about this that I missed?

And I want the old emoticons back!!!!

I can't find Private Messages anywhere near the top right. Thats why I asked about it. I'm using Firefox. Is that likely to make a difference?

I use Firefox too and I can see it. Here's what I see on the top right:

Mine looks just like yours without the third line. I have no Private Messages indicator.

Unread threads don't persist through logouts anymore either.

Maybe you need to go into the control panel to somehow activate it? I was in there changing stuff and clicking on my messages before I came into here...

I guess thats it. I can now see it. I'm not sure I like that option. A lot of users aren't likely to be familiar with it for some time. That could mean plenty of missed communications.

My PMs had gotten turned off; needed to turn those back on by doing the options thing like that tech guy suggested.

On a side note, why does it say some people are Senior members with either earlier (2005) dates or smaller post counts than me? Not an ego thing, but just surprised to see it. I'm only showing as a "Member". Huh.

Ok, changing the site to keep unread threads is more server intensive... I'm not sure if this is an acceptable increase in server load, so give this some time.

Any chance my subscribed threads can be restored? I have a lot of threads subscribed which I refer to constantly, and it'd be a nightmare to try and find them one by one and subscribe to them again...

Some are so scattered in the archived section I'll probably have to go through every page to find them.
