I'm doing a custom Master Chief helmet from the halo 3 super edition. I want to give it some wear and tear and scorch marks to cover up the paint issues i had. Anyone have a good way to do it on a budget? I figured it would look good with plasma burns and scorch marks but i'm not sure how and i can't find my airbrush to experiment.

Is it the Rubies helmet? Plastic is very thin, if you wan't "real" damage you'd have to fill it out a bit. Smoothcast/plasticrete maybe? Adding 1-2cm from inside you can make some sculpted damage with the dremel.

It's actually the helmets that came with the Halo 3 legendary edition. I was just figuring of using some paint to weather the thing.

Use a real brush and dip some ink (silver, black, or brown) depends on the type of damage you want, than you just dry brush it over your helmet. :O that's how I did mine though.
