Just a quick update of the pieces I've printed so far.
Will be printing the rest of the handle and the front cartridge in the next few days and then it's on to lots of sanding!

I hope he sees this, I think he'd get a kick out of this. Surely he has lots of free time to peruse the RPF with his new book, new show, promotions, one day builds for tested...

A prop replica of a prop replica. Propception.

Got some sanding done today. The front cartridge is being printed on my Anycubic Photon at the moment, so there will be very little clean up of that piece.

Might mask off a few areas besides the "LEDs" to leave the Amber color show through.
Any ideas??

Apropos of nothing I've never thought BR and Alien were directly linked. . . like your work tho

Thanks man! Its not 100%, but seeing as they are both Ridley Scott movies, the Prometheus Blu-ray special features has a logs from Peter Weyland, showing that he used to work under Tyrell.
Again, it's not fully cannon, but it's a small detail that I know Adam is fond of.

Nice project, one day I hope people will make a replica prop of your replica of the replica prop of the BladeRunner prop :)

I
There's also a knockoff called the "Galactronic Gun" with an identical handle. I managed to snag one off eBay a few weeks ago for under $40.
Spotted it!! Someone on Facebook sent me the link to that. No spare funds at the time, but do plan on picking one up for another build. Preferably with the numbers printed on the grip.

I actually still have my Super Thur from my childhood. It has the original handle/ grip in question. I don't have any mold making skills, but I'd be willing to lend my gun to someone that does in order to make a mold of the handle. Just a thought if anyone is interested.

I'd love to have a go off it, but I'm living in Ireland, so it would probably be a bit of hassle.
