ADAM Sample (Neon Genesis Evangelion Anime)

Here's my "ADAM" Sample from the anime Neon Genesis Evangelion.
The embryo is constructed from translucent polymer clay, colored partially with acrylic paints and ink, then encased in resin in several stages. The text and graphics are printed transparencies embedded within the resin, and the resin itself is tinted with a small amount of oil paint.

The block measures about 6 inches long.

I have included a picture from the anime, for reference. I decided to take some artistic license while sculpting the "real world" version.

Right now I'm creating them individually on a commission basis, but I've been thinking of how to cast them or something. It can be complex because I achieve the organic look by layering different mixes of clay with different colors and transparencies.

(I had to Google lots of embryo pictures to get the look right!)

How much would be willing to spend for such a prop? or for a kit?

Very cool. Especially since you don't really get a good look at it in the series. i haven't seen many EVA props before.

Yeah, the orange tint is faint, but (thanks, Nick, for posting my other image) it shows up better on a white background. I don't know if it's supposed to be LCL or "Dura-Bakelite" but I inscribed "Dura-Bakelite" on the side of this one.

I think Brody's screencap is from the remastered blu-ray, you could probably get a little more detailed with the printing on the top based on his.

They never say as far as I can recall so I vote for yours because it makes for a cooler looking inscription.
