Since I've been away from this thread for
so very long, what better way to bring it back to life than with this, the
Count of St Germain's ring from
Warehouse 13.
This isn't a replica - it's the one seen on screen in the show:
So a few months ago back when SyFy first put the artifact database on their WH13 website one of the most interesting things was a close-up of the Count of St Germain's ring. In the episode it's kinda dark and hard to see and having a HQ pic of it made finding the same ring a very real possibility. So eventually after a few hours of searching I found a ring that was incredibly similar - same design & engraving etc. on etsy, ovbiously made by the same company that made the one for WH13. However the asking price was $1200. Just a bit too expensive for my liking! So I put the idea of wanting this ring to the back of my mind - at least I found the company that made it and if I ever won the lottery I could always get a replica made.
Flash forward to February/March 2014, and the VIP Fan autions took place on ebay - now I missed the first couple of sets of listings because I didn't know about it, but as soon as I found out I headed over to ebay & one of the first listings I saw was for "James Marsters' Costume ring set" which included his poison ring with the big black jewel, as well as an unmistakeable gold & amethyst one.

OMG it was my lucky day - there was no mention of the ring being a separate artifact (all the other
artifact listings were about $200 higher from bids) and the listing didn't detail the importance of this ring -
it saved the world! So basically to cut a long story short I bid on it and won it, I think the ring set cost between £100-200?
BARGAIN considering the cost of a replica by the same company. And this is the real deal, not a replica!
Unfortunately vipfanauctions realised their mistake when they sent me my win - the box only contained the black ring. After emailing them to ask where the rest of the set was they responded saying the Count's ring was actually supposed to be listed separately as it's own item and whoever made the listing made a mistake.
Uhhh not my problem? But they were very gracious and
eventually sent me the count's ring free of charge. As well as some Robocop armour concept art for some reason?

So in case you were ever wondering what happened to this ring or where it might be - I have it & it couldn't have a better home. I won some other artifacts too - so keep an eye out if you wanna see what else I got!
