I got to see this on Wednesday. The film was awesome. They weren't the most amazing actors when it came to dialogue, but when the important stuff happened, you could tell they weren't just some stupid actor with 2 weeks of military training.

I loved this movie.

Agree on all counts. Some of the dialog between the two primary characters seemed a little forced, but that was so minor compared to the excellence in everything else.

I loved everything about the boats in that first mission. And "Senior's" big scene was fun to watch as well.

Edit: just learned that at at least some scenes were done with live ammo:

The hubby surprised me with an outing to see Act of Valor last night. All I can say is oh my god... I was a blubbering MESS by the end!

Great, great, GREAT movie.

I don't want to complain about a movie that I paid $1.50 to see... I do appreciate the voucher and I'm glad I saw the movie, even if I was ultimately disappointed by it.

But, the movie was just a mess. The "acting" was just absolutely terrible, the movie was just an excuse to showcase these action scenes... maybe that's what some folks want: action, action and action - that's cool. I guess I would've liked a bit a more 'real' plot to go with the 'real' action.

The incredibly bad dialog and acting just took me so far out of the movie that I half expected the porn music to break out in the second half and... well, I'm not going there (ewwww).

Some of it is beautifully shot. But, nothing could tear me away from the lame plot, terrible acting and how predictible it all was (I guess the title alone gives away a plot point).

I apologize if I'm being too negative about it. If you want a cool action flick and don't care about the plot or the acting - it's worth watching, there's some very cool footage.

I saw it Wednesday and liked it for what it was, a recruiting effort for the S.E.A.L.s.

which is stiring up a lot of controversy.

Some of the Operators in the Movie are getting some good natured ribbing from others about going "Hollywood" :lol
