I’m looking for an accurate STL file for star lords helmet
I’ve printed one of thingyverse, not accurate but a great practice piece

I’m now looking for a more accurate one
I’ve looked at Do3d and CGTrader is there anymore or are these the best out there
Thanks
Ben

Do3D is the most accurate I’ve seen. I’ve also printed it. If you haven’t yet check GrabCad

What did you use for the braided tube on the side three tubes?

What did you use for the braided tube on the side three tubes?
I made a cast of some actual metal braided pipe
I also added some extra raised pieces around the hole that the braided pieces sit into
I designed them in autocad and printed them, glued them onto the mask before paint

I bought and downloaded the do3d helmet
Mmmmm
Not impressed with the accuracy at all

don’t waste your money people
Did the model they send you come with all the pieces separated or did they send you the "welded" model?

I bought the model in April and it drives me nuts that they don't mention this on their site.

That's a bummer, I don't get why they welded the pieces.
The cheek pipes are pushing out of their borders and look awful. I tried contacting them for help and all they did was send me the first generation model with even more inaccuracies.
I'm with lasher, go for the Necrosster model. I got it a while back and it's more accurate and modular to boot. The latest version comes with a removable face plate and is easier to assemble.
