INTEREST THREAD:
Im a A/C contractor and recently installed central air and heat in a new machine shop. I did it for cheap and the guy said he would do some CAD machining for me cheap. What would you guys like to see machined? What is there the most interest for?
Maybe a JK2 saber? A CAD for the saber could get me a good estimate.
I can get anything made, as long as there is enough interest in one thing at a time.
So think about it, because Im getting some stuff made for myself and wanted my friends in on it.

DV ROTJ parts?

Luke ROTJ blanks?

Other saber blanks? (Ki Adi?)

Yes blanks would be good, and CHEAP.
get me cad drawings with measurements and I can get a quote.
Can you do that?

That sonic screwdriver looks very easy to make. Are these measurements accurrate.

Would you like it made in Stainless Steel or Aluminum?

Ok I emailed the machinist and asked for a quote of sonic screwdrives in ten and 30 quantities, in SS and aluminum
I will post a interest thread in the morning when he replies

For the sonic screwdriver i would say aluminum. Though depending on price a stainless may be cool have. I've been looking for a good metal version for a while now. Thanks for persuing this.

No prob. I need the diameter and the total length of the screwdriver.

Forbidden Planet in England have machined kits of that Sonic Screwdriver in stock at the store near Tottenham Court Road and the British Museum. They were £15.00 as of 3 weeks ago.

*EDIT*
Hmm, looks like what I saw (it was wrapped in plastic) might have been a Sonic Screwdriver pen:

But it sure looked like a raw machined kit to me - I only gave it a quick once-over.

I guess a Men in Black full sized blaster would be too hard a project. That is something I'd really like to see since I've waited such a long time to see a metal one and no one can make it.
