About wardrobe preservation.. Some help needed

Hey!

I hope this is the right sub-forum to post this..

I've tried to find the best method to display and archive costumes.. Since I wanted to build display cases myself (using aluminium; I hope that's the right choice) I'm still tryíng to find out what to do and what not to do..
I guess using as much corrosion-free materials as possible is the best base to start with.. I've been looking online for quality mannequins and came across Tom Spina's and these mannequins: Dorfman Museum Figures
How about the two alternatives I posted? Can you recommend any other sources?

The thing I'm most worried about atm is how to keep insects off the costumes.. I read somewhere that patchouli could be put into display cases to hold insects off, as well as red-cedar-wood (mainly for moths).. But I'm not sure what works out best conservation-wise since both seclude small amounts of ethereal oils.. I would be happy to hear other ideas.

Another thing that worries me is how aeration is going to work.. The room the costumes will be in needs to be aired.. Is opening a window for several minutes ok or does that put too much stress on costumes already (especialy when it is cold outside)?
As I'm probably going to move next year and need to store the costumes until then can you guide me to a good place to get archival boxes?

Thank you very much!
