ABC warrior construction thread

nice! i will check that out when I get to paint stage. i'm going to go for a fairly heavily weathered steel look, not too much rust more like a well used hand tool :)

Thanks dude! It's really slow going but I'm sure one of us will produce a robot......eventually.......:wacko
 
I hear ya. I tore apart some helicopters today so i can get the servos. if you wondering I using the Futaba 9252's or the 9254 they are high torq . Going to use a spektrum dx7 for a Radio since I have 2 spares. I going to look into a buddy making me a gimble for the neck support i have a design in mind but unsure of the weight. Remember the static ones will weigh more unless it's Rotocasted
 
I mostly don't understand what you just did but dude it sounds good especially if it gets you closer to the finish line :)
 
ok Expect a update on my Thread soon I have jumped on the main head and made some progress. last few days I been recarving the details and you will be able see the time in it by how my red you see on the bottom. My camera is charging . The little side Eggs Are so off Kinda makes me want to make news one from scratch. I got the right side to fit dead on the left one is so loose in the slot looks like *****. I don't want to post in my thread till i have enough of a update. so I'm taking pictures of the progress so it will be worth looking at.. Side plates are going to be casted in plaster so i can carve each one and make it correct. Kinda sad feeling that I will be doing all this work to this one to destroy it so I can make the 2 versions a Static and a anamatronic version..
 
Well i figure i will destroy it so i make the molds like i want.. I have not set on it yet I just got done fixing the area where the round Eggs go. Lol If anyone has a GA kit I would chunk the left egg and make a copy of the right to start with. How do people get away with selling this GArbage... Once I'm Finished mine I would Sell Version of it. But in the same light I don't want to be listed as a recaster. But I have over 80 hours in retooling the head and jaw alone. who know how long it will take to make the side plates. They are drying now I made a caster version so I can grind down all the Wrong crap and build it up from there.... :rolleyes
 
Oota goota, outstanding build, looking forward in seeing your progress. As you I’m attempting to build the complete robot, only as a wearable suit and I’ve also started at the bottom with the boots, working my way up. To keep things light, for the armor, I’m using 5mm foam board with a fiberglass shell. Keep the pics coming.

smoke55! Those legs are AWESOME! I really like the look of your construction youve gotten alot further than most of us. The robot definitely lends itself to a wearable format. how are you going to tackle the arms?

Hey I'm sure we'd all love to see more pics of your build. How about starting a build thread?

nice to see the appearance of another ABC warrior builder :)
