AA12 Shotgun help needed

Hi

I want to make a replica AA12 shotgun as seen in Predators, Expendables and the COD games, but I cant find much in the way of dimensions for it other than it is 96cm overall length.

But... i have found images of it with a short and a long barrel...

I have based it on the 96cm being long barrel and have scaled it and made a 1:1 scale cut out, but it looks huge (compared to my airsoft weapons)

So im asking if anyone has any info on measurements could they please share.

OR

if you ahve a 1:1 replica AA12, could you please post a side shot of it next to a tape measure please?!!

the-blueprints.com has a good vector image for sale for about €3 . Occasionally they offer free jpg files but for something that specific I guess they only have the full vector file.


The preview image from that page says it is 991mm nose to butt (99cm) And it looks like the long barrel version.

If you just wanted confirmation on the length then, yes I think it is about 99cm. Most airsoft guns are scaled down and not 1:1 replicas, which is why it may look bigger.

If you are doing a scratch build it might be worth just buying the vector, it'll be more accurate than any photo. You could even just scale up that preview, it's pretty high quality, I'll leave the ethics of that up to you.

i clicked that thumbnail, and looking at it it would appear my cut out is the righ size ands its just that the aa12 is one big mutha!

The pics in Del's thread are indeed WIPs of an AA-12 replica I put together a year and half or so. I never actually put up a sale thread in the junkyard because I was just so overwhelmed at the time with other projects and I hadn't yet really nailed down the digital vinyl wrap as accurately as I'd like. I *did* get that sorted out, but by the time I did people knew how to find me. lol
