A-wing 1:48 - paper model

Hi,

I am working on A-wing paper model in 1:48 scale (I choose fullscale vehicle to be 6,5m). I am trying to make it as close as posible to original studio model. That is why I 3d modeled all greebles known to me from kitscans. This is my progress so far.

This are some of 3d modeled greebels on back of top hull:

And here is textured hull. Texture is made from photos of original model:

It have little simlified shapes in some areas of the hull to reduce curvature so it can be easily made from paper. I did some corrections to bring back that curvatures, correct paneling and some details to match the original, etc.

Cockpit is finaly done. It is basicly amalgam of studio scale model cockpit and film set cockpit.

Great model and yes, as others have said: doesn't look like a paper model at all. Btw, it's greeblies, not greebles Eager to see your next post.
