A Revolutionary Assassin

So, after seeing the trailer and concept art for Assassin's Creed III, I've decided to retrace my footsteps and make a feminine version of the design. The Revolutionary War is actually something I have experience costuming anyway. More importantly, it finally gives me an excuse to make one of these fantastic coats for myself.
I'm kind of torn between being American or British, so I'm going to ask what your thoughts are.

In case you all haven't seen the trailer for the new Assassin's Creed game, GO DO IT. NOW.
Here's a buch of pictures showing the new look.

I'll be uploading a picture of the concept art I come up with for myself once I get it drawn up. I'm leaning a bit towards the British uniform as the inspiration for this particular Assassin design.

Love the idea, and I look forward to seeing what you come up with. I have been planning on doing a pirate themed assassin’s costume for a while now. Hoping that I will be able to get to it this year.

I've decided on a style of assassin to go with. something inspired by the British military. The sketch I came up with is as follows

The shaded parts would be red, and I'd likely wear my brown boots that I wore for my last incarnation as the assassin.

Thoughts, tips, suggestions?

I haven't touched this thread or this project in months. That's what happens when you break your ankle, though. Ugh.

I don't have any progress on this, besides a couple more detail pictures sketched up, but while we were moving from one state to another, I found 3 full bins of fabric. Fabric I can use.

I've estimated about 4 yards of white (something) will be needed, along with 4 yards or more of red (satin?) for the lining. I've got about 5 yards of red piping to detail with, and I need to make a button run. Then I'll stop and look at what I might need for pants, vest, etc. I've got boots and a shirt I can use. Possibly a neck tie. Maybe some trim left over from my last assassin costume.

I hope to get some progress done on this in the next week or so.

I did, but I've grown rather attached to my design. Though the design for her costume is kind of interesting. I was just excited that they designed a costume that's ALMOST historically accurate, and that it was from the period of history I know how to costume. XD
