I was hired to make some props for a short sci-fi film that shot in LA last weekend. Thought I might share some of the photos from that adventure.
Pistol:
Rifle V1:
Because it wasn't in the budget or schedule to make additional rifles, we decided to make add-ons to the main rifle to be used in background shots to give the appearance that there were more than one. This secondary mode ended up being more popular than the original, so I believe they gave it the most screen time.
Rifle V2:
The script also called for the rifle to collapse into itself so it could fit in a smaller brief case. The VFX team will be dealing with animating this motion, they just needed a rough object of what it would look like. It should be a quick moving shot so hopefully the crappyness of this one won't show up on film. Hey I had to build this last minute in a freaking afternoon, give me a break.
