A deal with Boatbuilder1/rambo5788 that have gone bad?

This is a rant.
This may not be the right part of the forum, but it is a little related. And I'm not quite sure where else to post it.
This deal is not from the JY, but as we are all members of this forum, people who know us may chime in with their 2 cents.
Moes1 and myself entered in a deal with Boatbuilder1 back at june 19th 2006. This is when I mailed him for the first time regarding some donor kits we needed for a mutual project.
Its now four months later and we still havn't gotten any kits. We agreed to pay cash as we are in Denmark and Boatbuilder is in the US. This was the easiest payment for all of us.

Money was mailed june 22nd 2006. I later asked Boatbuilder1 if it had arrived, he comfirmed on july 7th that it had and that he would ship the kits.

Is there anybody here who knows him? Can he or can't he be trusted? I have bought kits and all sorts of other things from people from all over the world for the past ten years. And this is the first time I have experienced anything close to this.

What we want now is our kits. But it looks like its not going to happen. But what we would also like is a little commucation from him. He has told us that he has shipped the kits, is it to much to ask for the shipping date and possibly a tracking number?

What is your suggestion that we (Moes1 and myself) do now?

Its $88.00 for the, but how much will the shipping be? Jut pick the cheapest one, I know it may take 4-6 weeks but it rarely does.

got a letter stating the shipping cost was wrong and I have to pay a bit

We need to get some answers now! We have been very patient we you, but we can't keep waitng for the simple things. We havn't got our kits yet even though you recieved the mone for teh several moths ago. And you can't or won't tell us if they have been shipped at all. We need to know if they where shipped and when. And we want the tracking number. If we do know this by friday 8 pm (Copenhagen). We will make an annoucement on at least The RPF and on Starshipmodeler. We will tell what has happend so far. Its not something that we wish to do, but right now this is our only option as we don't get any answersfrom you. 8 pm is in 36,5 hour from the timestamp on this mail.

It sounds like he is making excuses. If he really did ship them it should be easy for him to get a tracking number to you. Too bad you didn't use PayPal or some other form of payment instead of cash. Hope it all works out.

There are several people from other boards he owes money too. I personally don't have anything invested, besides the fact he owes members of a board I help with money. And I don't like seeing ANYONE taken advantage of, especially my friends. He last visited Profixs on September 10 and failed to address the situation.

If it is indeed Charlie you are talking about- I am going to say up front I am not involved in any way , but... if it is Charlie, this is about the time I believe he had a major health problem. I believe he has diabetes at least, and is not in the best health, so while not a justification per se it may be a mitigating factor at least. I am a little unconfortable posting about peoples personal health, etc, but if it is who I think it is then that would be a factor,

Thanks, this is the kind of information we're looking for. People who can confirm weather or not the actually has some health issues or some other legit reason why he havn't responded to my mails. Or if he simply is faking it and our money is lost.
Can anybody confirm if this Charlie with diabetes is Boatbuilder1?
