A Clockwork Orange - bedding?

Hi all I couldn't help but to notice this thread as I was googling. I am currently working very hard with my fiance to create the same exact screen accurate bedding as in the one from the movie but there's a catch. We are making one for pets lol i.e. Dog Bed. With help from my mother of course since she has been sewing for 29 years professionally I showed her a picture of the bed and asked her if this was possible, worried that she would say no she looked at me and laughed and said "You serious? I was expecting something more harder" I guess with all those years of experience it may be possible for her. I still need to wait a couple of days to make a post about this project me and my fiance are making but if all goes well we might actually make an actual bedding for people to use (If by popular demand of course) I am a member on the blade runner forums too but I think I will like this place alot.

Ok, so I just completed A Clockwork Orange inspired quilt. I know it's not screen accurate as far as coning and the colors are a bit off, but it was a learning process, the next one I do will be better. All in all it's still a pretty cool looking quilt.

!!

That looks fantastic, screen-accurate or no! It certainly conveys the look. :) Nicely done!

First of all i want to say congratulations on a stunning piece of work and secondary was it as hard as the earlier poster made it out, by the looks of it you have gone for a neoprene material very similar to the original. Can i ask how long it took for start to finish?

OH MAN! I'd love to have one -- not for 5k or 7k but one of the less screen accurate ones.

I could have sworn a place here in Santa Monica called "Kitch-E-Poo" offered these in the mid nineties -- but I'm probably wrong. Great work gentlemen -- simply AWESOME. Makes me think about the old in/out and Ludwig Van.

Thanks everybody for the kind words!

To iamjack1982 it took about to months to complete. The material was just a standard cotton fabric.

Seeing it little 'puffed' up really captures that effect of the one used on screen.

yeah to get the right look and make it screen accurate you'd have to use neoprene (the stuff wet suits are made of)
and let me tell you something that stuff is expensive!!! i had to get some for a cosplay outfit back in 2004....and if you made this blanket with it ...it would run like $3,000
