Hey folks,
If you followed my last post about the Large Scale Visitor Squad ship or you've read about my models on the various V websites for the last 10 years, you know I make and sell 1/87 scale Visitor spacecraft from the classic 80's V. I was recently asked to create an interior for one of my Skyfghter models that featured an opening and closing door. Just thought I would share pics. Yay V!
One thing I found funny was that I realized after starting that I only had to model what could be seen through the open door. Duh! Made things a little easier. :lol
Picture 1: Interior built and Skyfighter pieces modified for working door. Hard to tell the detail since it's all white styrene.
Picture 2: Cockpit completed. I had to improvise, since I can't seem to find a picture of the floor. I tried to match all the dials and switches I could see. I made the decals in few hours and printed them on my ALPS. I had to improvise a few things here.
Pics 3,4,5: I matched the contours and paint job of the doors as best as I could. The door fits nice and neat together.
Last pic: Completed ship, and interior seen through the door. You can see all of the panel through the door, but it has to be held up close. Anyways, it was fun. Enjoy!
