After I finished THOR, I needed to put together an Optimus Prime in a week for an event. This version is really rough and I will be heavily tweaking stuff like front doors, thighs, lighter wheels on the thighs, much more detailing, smaller right forearm, push out the chest more, securing the waist with straps, more blue armor strips on legs, painting on flames and adding another set of doors to the chest, building up the biceps, etc.

That looks incredible! Just out of curiosity, how many power wheels were harmed in the making of that suit?

One Power wheels Barbie Jeep, one little tikes car with yellow canopy and parts of a battery powered corvette, one old video game chair back, numerous trashcans, etc. were harmed.

This costume has a long way to go but at least the base costume is done.

I am going to elongate the blaster and maybe attach a sword over top of the blaster. Moving in this costume is not really that bad but the leg bases are bulky.

Thanks.

The legs are the one place I'd like to see more car parts, but I'm sure you're planning on that. Exhaust mufflers up the side maybe? Great stuff.

Thanks for the feedback. i am already adding parts to the legs. Light detailed parts to the shin/boot areas and modified wheels details to the thighs. I have to be careful not to add too much more weight to the boot areas as would make walking even more difficult.

Funny that you mention exhaust mufflers as I was just painting some. When you say exhaust mufflers up the side, where did you suggest placing them? Up the side of the thighs or the side of the body? Optimus has exhaust mufflers located on top of his shoulders in comics/books/film. Thanks.

Awesome work! You did in a week more than I could've done in a year! Outstanding, and the impressiveness shows with the kids.
