After a second more successful attempt with a urethane casting (which was shipped off to client) I decided to try silicone castings.
Unfortunately (yes, again, of course, again!) The mold had urethane residue and the silicone casting did not cure properly. The silicone also was not adhering to the inner polyfoam and so I sadly returned the money to my new client, unsure that I could trouble shoot this process efectively.
Months and months later I noticed found the skin I had thrown in a box and put on a shelf and decided to try to repair it. After lots of silpoxy, patience, and a paint job, I think it turned out pretty well!
