Hi all!
I want to make my own stones and i like theire be the more accurate as possible.
Do someone have the dimensions of the stones?. (in centimeter if possible!)
I have see a lot of models on the web but theyre look small when i look the ones on movie.
Can somebody help me?

There were several versions of the stones used in the movie. The ones seen in the temple at the end of the movie were the bigger version, compared to the ones Korben took out from the Diva's belly. Most of the ones you see offered are the Diva sized stones. These are usually 8.5cm by 7cms by 1cm by 7cms and the height is 21cm.

I don't have any measurements for you, but you might want to keep in mind that there were 2 sets of stones used during filming. One set is fullsized and was used for the scenes with the briefcase and the temple in the end, and the other set is smaller, and was used in the scene where Bruce Willis pulls them from the Diva Plavaguna's abdomen. Its not much... but I hope it helps ya somehow.

I think i go to make the biggest size. not easy to know the good size but i go to make screencaps and compare with my hands .

I have to say I'm not convinced there were two different sized stones. i remember a screen-grab frenzy that happened a while ago showing comparisons, but I was not convinced.

No doubt, there were multiple versions/copies of the stones used in the film. The ones that popped open and closed in the final sequence were no doubt different from the ones carried around. But to this day, i've seen no compelling evidence that there were two sizes. nobody has pictures of these "smaller" stones, and nobody I know has ever seen them, or knows of anyone who has seen them.

I'd be curious to see any proof that can be shown here. I'm happy to be proven wrong, but so far, I think everyone is just riding the wave of common belief. Kind of like the theory that Korben's gun didn't actually fire. :) I have NO idea how that one started, but for some reason, there's still people out there who don't believe it actually shot blanks. Crazy stuff!!

Sorry to bump an old thread, but I just started to entertain the idea that I may try and make a set for myself. I missed out on a set in the cargo hold and figured to try and make them. Naturally I would be looking at the bigger ones used in the temple. Anyone ever figure out measurements for them?

Thinking about this some more, I'm thinking that NONE of the stones out in collectors hands have any solid provenence back to originals. Naturally, everyone CLAIMS that theirs were cast off originals, but seeing as how none of them match anything in screen captures, I'm skeptical.

But with that said, your best bet is probably to simply round up a set of the stones that are commonly available. It'll save you a lot of time from scratch building, and they'll look good. If you start a thread in the junkyard, I'm sure there is someone out there looking to get a few extra bucks for xmas. Heck, I think *I* even have a spare set lying around!

Does that include Hollywood Collectibles? I was under the impression that they were going to come out with a set that had some kind of connection to the originals.

I believe HCG were/are planning to release a set molded from screen used ones.

Yup, that's what I've heard, but they are not yet in collectors hands :)

I'll believe it when I see it... and they match screen caps. I'm bored with so called "background" stones. Come on. Show me something that matches what you see on screen in at least ONE scene, and I'll line up for a set.
