50's Rockabilly Two-Face / Harvey Dent

I'm sure we are all familiar with Denis Medri Batman sketches re-imagined with a whole 50's rockabilly look, being a big Two-Face fan, I've always wanted to cosplay him to a con, upon stumbling onto these sketches it never hit me that I should have a go at putting something like this together until finding joshspiderman23's 50's Batman W.I.P.

Now determine to bring this look to life, I'm already growing my hair out to rock sweet pompadour along half my head, and a more collective 'prep' do on the opposite side.

For the most part this look seems pretty achievable, especially for my first attempt ever, but the only think that concerns me is how will ever sew together a leather 'Greaser' jacket, and a preppy cardigan.

Any ideas? Input? I'll take it all!

OMG this would be so awesome to see brought to life!!!! I think the one thing to consider is how much you want to base it on the design, somethings work great in a costume others do not, I think if you do the coat and shirt leave the pants as a base color to emphasize your upper half. if you find yourself at dragoncon in september we must get a pic together :) good luck and I will be watching this thread daily

Freaking cool! I did a twoface on holiday on halloween a few years ago. My own invention. If you care for pics i can post them.

Hah, thanks a bunch! Your W.I.P is my motivation, it's coming out great!

The glasses are no problem, as I plan to purchase Ray-ban style glasses, and replace one of the sides with a non-prescription Buddy Holly-esque lenses.

As for the make-up and hair, that'll come with practice over the next couple weeks. I'm a little experienced with the FX makeup so that is the least of my concern.

Shopping through ebay and amazon as I write in search for the glasses, all while trying to figure out what I can go ahead and do for the torso. I rather build on the whole prep/greaser thing, as oppose to just distressing one side of his torso.

I hadn't had plans to attend Dragoncon, but after looking into it I might just have to! Heres hoping I can finish in time, and that my current plans to move in august don't get in the way!

Awesome shots, reminds me of Joker in the Killing Joke, the whole Hawaiian Shirt thing. Is that a mixture of a ball-cap and half a wig by the way, or your actual hair still exposed on half a side?

So I ended up making a change to the original design, going along with contrasting classic 50's bowling shirts as oppose to the Leather Jacket/cardigan combo. ( See Below )

I was planning on purchasing another color, and distressing one of the sides. The pink one came in the mail today and I got 'Harvey' Hand Sitched along the left side.

Any feedback on this idea? Possibly a better suggestion? Let me know!

I think it would be cool if you did one side as a 50's preppy dad type.

I had plan on it, that is basically what the original concept art is a mixture of greaser and prep, but I'm not a hundred percent sure it'd work in real life, nor do I have the $$$ to risk purchasing both a Jacket and cardigan.

The two bowling shirts alone would run me $80, but I think it looks cool enough to spend the funds.

What exactly did you have in mind for the whole preppy dad deal?

Leave the sweater whole...cut the leather jacket and use safety pins to attach it to the sweater base....voila

Funny I thought of doing something like this, just having half a leather jacket sit on one side of me, but the safety pins are genius. Time to make a trip to the thrift store tomorrow!

Do that or badly stitch it using thick leather thread it would look awesome or safety pins done up with some edgy stitching would look cool. I do think your re design would work well too. Watching thread man keep up the good work

Received the pink bowling shirt a couple days ago, but now leaning more towards the original design. Going to attempt return the shirt, if the return goes through I'll hit up the local thrift store this week in search for the jacket.

Also by the way, could you pull me a image of what you referring to when suggesting "thick leather thread"? I'm horrid, with threads, fabrics, and all stuff of that nature.

Just google "black waxed thread" but try the safety pin style first

Yeah it was a bald-cap with half a wig attached to it. I should have shaved my head but at the time i was thinking to grow my hair 2 days later i shaved my head. Dumb!
