4ft Jupiter 2??

Gone but not forgotten.
sometime back someone had a mold for this large studio prop. I know there are sites with the autopsy video and such out there but no information on the kit itself. Any suggestions?

I got a second generation casting of the 4 foot jupiter 2 off of ebay two years ago. The kit was nothing more than the upper / lower sections and the fusion core. Scfi Metropolis had plans to do a four foot kit to complement their two footer.

I've seen that four footer 2nd gen kit on ebay occasionally this year. Try a search of the completed listings.

If you do find it again I can tell that shipping is quite expensive. I was lucky to live within 150 miles of the seller, so I picked it up myself.

Does the expense of the kit come from shipping?

Did you manage to get yours together? nd is SCI FI METROPOLIS the same company that made the new dolls? I remember seeing a Jupiter that was to be done in aluminum?

It's too big for my present house and so its stored (unbuilt) at my mom's house. One of these days I'll get a bigger house and have a true prop workshop.

As for shipping, due to the size it has to go freight. It's just too big for any of the regular delivery services (UPS, Fed Ex, etc).

SciFi Metropolis is the one doing the LIS action figures , 1/2 scale robot, and supposedly a bunch of near studio scale replicas (J2 and Pod). The SS stuff was showing late 2005 dates per their web site the last time I looked at it.

I have one of those castings from the 4 foot original. It has the bubble for the top and the fusion core. I wouldn't mind selling it but shipping probably would be a lot, I live in California.
