Well here goes, this is my first model build.

The 3D model used for this project was a special commission job done by Skylu Props. He did an amazing job of modeling the ship capturing every little detail with consideration for the electronics and assembly. So far I have printed the main body and the top half of the saucer. Still lots of work to do in sanding and smoothing.

BEM is currently working with me on custom lighting for this ship as well.

The ship will be painted with Automotive 2K clearcoat and basecoat followed by Azteking once I find out how I can get the aztec templates custom scaled since this is a one of kind in scale. I have Zbrush, so I was thinking of finding a way to UV map the 3D model to export into a 2D pattern, or just use ductape and make patterns and scan them into a PDF so that the existing patterns can be scaled to fit. (Open to any suggestions here)

For the Bussards, I had just 3D modeled the blades and vacume formed the engine domes. Now just need to create or find a good counter rotating gearbox.

Looking forward to sharing this build as it progresses and looking for any suggestions the group might have.

3D printers involved in this build are
Formlabs Form 2
Ultimaker 3 Extended
Formbot Raptor
SeeMe CNC Rostock V3 and 3.2
