4 foot Jupiter 2 Update

The 3D printer struts weren’t strong enough to support the ship. This hybrid design uses an aluminum rod to carry the load. I also finished the flight couches. I still need to install the previously shown fusion core.

What are the plans for the fusion core? However about a Power Core room as seen in Season 3: The Space Creature?
Currently I have no plans for additional interior work. However the ship will be around for years and I may, little by little, populate the upper deck. No plans for a power core room but my lower support ring would be perfect for it.

as for the fusion core, I bought a custom built light set, including lights for the upper dome, from this fellow.

this looks cool.
what filament and printer setups are you using?
how are you smoothing and finishing the panels before paint?
Thanks! I’m using an Ender 3 converted to a 400x400 build plate with the Ender Extendr kit. I’m using Sunlu PLA+ from Amazon, or Inland from my local Micro Center. As for prepping the panels for paint, I use a UV resin, Bondo spot filler, and a filler/primer.

So I’ve been re-printing my upper deck so it’s separate from the upper hull. The deck plates and bulkheads are bonded together. I’m printing The ceiling beams now. NOTE: I dropped the ladder wall and one of the rungs broke. I’m going to reprint them all in silk silver.
