3D Shoretrooper

Hi everyone
After a good weekend back in the smoke for Celebration I decided to Jump into a Shoretrooper build (heavy blaster variant)
Like everyone and there dog I took 40 thousand photos of the logo on the boots. And like everyone else am now waiting for my back order to be filled on the Orca bay Brecons in Havana.
I'd did manage to grab a Yugo pouch with oiler bottle pouch for £15 (score) nice condition and saddle soaped as soon as it hit my door step.
I started to 3D model the blaster stock but my bro saw it and modelled it properly for me.
And now I'm on with the Do3D files. Helmet should be printed by Monday (Tues with a re printed face section due to bad ebay filament, but I'm back to BQ stuff now)

Start of the heavy blaster (what name we giving this e-111. e-112 on account of the double barrel?)
Custom stock with thingiverse e-11 rear sight and cocking handle with pistol grip Ttrack and everything else thingiverse e-11 on an eyeballed 40mm plastic pipe with 32mm insert (credit to Yngel on thingiverse for the e-11 bits of the build) I'm still working on the double barrel adapters for the front end (my own work) one 40mm rings
the other 32mm for the reduction in the middle


Bad filament really brittle, about 9 hours each side


6 hours for both with a better filament all done on my wanhao i3 v2


The 4 top dome sections of the ST helmet I'm doing are about 13 hours each

Ribbed under shirt/fabric Is being elusive though. anyone got any ideas so I don't have to get the sewing machine out?

My start to the stock (don't mock me it looks real purdy after a 6 pack) And yes the stock tubes back to front ... like I said "6 pack"

Carried on mocking up the heavy blaster with the printed parts (Will be replaced with resin ones) Messed up the sight bracket by cutting it to short, Then dropped the mag well and broke it .... so It's been a productive day


Last section of the helmet should be printed tonight (gotta reprint the face plate still because of the cheap filament I used)

I've finished printing the helmet, Just got the dreaded fill and sand to go. I'm using a knifing putty to fill with so it's not creating heat on the PLA.
Am I going to be safe fiberglassing the Inside of a PLA printed helmet? I use normal fiberglass resin from the auto shop. More to the point will I get warping If I make a RTV silicone mould with the fiberglass mother mould.
As I'd prefer to slush cast it. (This was acceptable in the do3d FAQs)

Wow, great work so far! I'm on the hunt for the kama and pants right now, but they will probably end up being custom made.

I was looking at Army officers britches for the pants (some countries have that really good bellow around the thigh)
I won't need the kama but military canvas from a land rover/military truck/army heavy tent should give you the canvas the stitching and the eyelets you need for that.

Boots get shipped tomorrow and Orca Bay have just announced that the SAND Brecon boots have been used in a major film due out at the end of this year.:facepalm

Started modding the front of the lid, The mesh is wrong on the "Hovi Mic Tip"? but I can replace that once I get the right stuff

Visor area to blank off, buld up the neck, ear greeblies to fit and I think I'm ready to mould it

Did a quick mockup of the hip armour today. This is gonna be made from foam I think, mainly for comfort

Started on the chest armour this week, so it's back to sanding and filling before fitting it to extra wide shouldered pipe mannequin

Hi the trousers are extra made for the Film, because all trousers you find have Pockets and the Film Trousers have no pockets.

Will you post the Helm 3d files somewhere ?
