Awesome. This is similar to what I want to do but build it around the 18 inch Rockler lazy susan bearing (same that is used by the R2 builders) or the 24 inch one.

"Working" Very cool though. Useful for sending hamsters to other worlds.

It is controlled by an arduino so it can be reprogrammed. Worse case scenario: replace the lighting circuit. Maybe even upgrade it with a DHD where you can select which symbols to use.
