I thought I was out. But now I've been pulled back in...

I made an EVA foam Iron Man Mk VI a few years ago. I thought I was done with Iron Man. But then I got this...

So now I bought a model of the Mk VII from http://www.do3d.com/. After much trial and error with various test files, I finally think I have successfully printed a usable costume piece.

When I made my foam costume, the hands really gave me trouble so I started with them. Overall, I'm happy. I'll need to slice it in order to fit my hand in but I think it will fit fine once I do that.

When did you buy the files? The hand you printed is V1 and I received V2 files a few months back.

These are not accurate. The print itself looks good though.

Sorry you are correct. I have the MK45. But still, the gloves are way off. You might be better of using devildogs files.
The gloves are mainly the same for all suits.

Thanks for the tip. Those files are much better. Reprinting the glove now. I kind of figured my first spool of filament was to blow on learning anyway.

Do3d sent me new finger files as the ones that came with the mk7 were totally wrong as well.

Now I just need to work out scaling. I printed out the devildog hand files and they are a tad too big. I don't want to waste anymore filament until I work out how to either scan myself or measure and scale correctly.
