33'' tos Enterprise scratchbuild

hey guys

i decided to start a new thread here regarding my scratchbuilt tos enterprise model im constructing. i decided to start fresh from scratch as my last buildup was not working.

using wood an other materials im planing to make vacuumform plugs


heres the bottom part of the saucer so far

looks like a good start, however it looks like the wrong profile, the area you have there thats flat should be a slight upward curve, and bow back down towards the edge.

ok so ive made some process on the top part of the saucer

i coated it in fiberglass and my plan is to make a plaster copy to add detail to it

im going to use the same process on the bottom half of the saucer

im a newbie at this so all comments welcome .You have more experience than i do :$

I agree with Zombie, the profile looks slightly off...'hard to say definitely by the angle of the pic. Still, it's a good start. You're far more brave than I am!
