What kind of sniper rifle was Jack using at the end of 24? At first I thought it was a SR25 type rifle, but it had a folding stock.

Why not? They're available to the public. Just very limited quantity right now and quite expensive.
They are? Last I heard it was only available to USSOCOM. I never heard about a civilian version.

I thought that gun looked familiar. No way you could make that shot through the windows in MW2 with a SCAR though. You'd need the .50 cal or intervention.

I was on the short notice list for the local gun shop/range when their SCARs came in about 1 1/2 months ago as I wanted a SCAR-Heavy (which haven't been released in a civilian version yet and may not be). I don't remember the exact price but it was like 3k for a 5.56 SCAR. I passed and told them to call me when the 7.62/.308's came in that I was looking for something else in that caliber.... Then they pulled out a Steyr Scout Tactical Elite that had just came in. I had to vamoose before I whipped out the CC and started paperwork; been avoiding going to shooting up there since.

There's one at a local gun shop for 2 or 3k. Not impossible to get at all. I'd imagine more than a few tv/film armories have them on hand by now to loan out to whatever production needs them.
