2001 Space Station docking bay WIP

Thanks Marcus and yes, the build is based on that video and pics from 2001 Italia Facebook page...going blind trying to make out the details of the greeblies and paneling

Well, a few goodies: both walls are done and I'm cladding the floor as we speak with all kind of greeblies. The model makers were jewelers...tiny little details in those trenches and between panels.

You have to be to do that kind of work...my wife shakes her head from side to side when looking at my work and always says that she wouldn't have the patience to do what I do

Thanks...I usually airbrush the whole thing at once. I'll just airbrush the colored greeblies in grey and then re-coat with white. I'll have to be careful as to mask the light trenches to make sure they're not painted

Well, the floor and the back walls are done. Now to build the ceiling I'll have to change camera...mine is going to expire soon

Thanks guys...the ceiling is the big mystery; I only have a screen cap from the movie showing 1/4th of the whole thing. So lots of it will be imagined and, hopefully, will jive with the overall look

Well, that very detailed interior was a completely different model/build. Not respecting the big Space Station docking bay model.
I cannot look at that one...to many details!!
