2001 on the cheap

I've been wanting a (sort of) costume to wear casually any day of the week. After doing a little searching I found a few versions of a HAL 9000 logic memory systems patch. I purchased a Dickies work shirt and sewed on the patch. For about $20 I now have a HAL 9000 I.T./mechanic guy shirt! Anyone else have any cheap simple movie or inspired costumes?
