Wow, lots of parts on those packs!! As an aside; if you ever do a run (raw piece) of the sleeve controls, I'll be the first on the list to buy it;)

Also started trimming the helmets. Only have had one successful pull from the thruster pack mold. "Sewing Goddess" as she was recently titled is modeling her helmet to show size/proportion.

Moved from Smoothcast 300 to a combo of 300 as the first two layers and Smoothcast 61d for the next two...looking to reduce the cracks caused by demolding. (The backpack)

We did a component layout this morning minus the suits...just multiply that x3. We made resin neck rings but I would like to eventually have them machined. A friend of mine offered to cut them on his hydro-jet machine but he has become ill and I didn't want to bother him.

Hi everyone. I just wanted to add a bit more detail on how we created some of the larger props and helmets. All of them were modeled in Blender and 100% custom made for this project.

* For the helmet we printed this in 6 pieces due to the size. The printer used was a Phrozen Transform Fast. This a monochrome
LCD based printer. With ABS like resin

* all of the small pack, helmer and control box pieces (Greebles) were printed on an Elegoo Saturn LCD liquid Resin printer. With EPAX hard resin.

* Due to size (about 26”). The backpack/jet pack was printed in 8 pieces on a filament based printer. These were printed with. CR-10S Pro with a DX direct drive conversion and Sice Engineering hot end and cartridge. These were printed in PLA plastic

* The control pack was printed in 4 pieces on the same CR10s-Pro V2, with PLA Plastic and then molded.

* the rings for the ankles and wrists were printed in ABS plastic and modeled in Tinkercad

* The IBM Datapad was modeled in Blender and printed on the Phrozen Transfrom in a single piece with ABS like resin.

* The neck rings were printed as a single piece on the Phrozen Transform.

We're very grateful for everyone's responses. We're down to the point where all the castings have been pulled and about half have their first layers of paint. After we finish, I'll post a punch list of everything that may be inaccurate. I do this because as I have said before, compromises have to be made in some instances due to budget, practicality etc.

If you are going to Dragoncon and see us, please stop and chat. We have a bunch of stickers and stuff. We're also putting out Swag and Seek...so you might find a wee EVA Suit out there...somewhere.

Would love to have some of your pieces for sure;)

We definitely appreciate the interest. The IBM mold has had it...it was a quick box so I would make sure to make a new mold before I make any promises. It was thin down the center and got droopy. Weird.

No pressure...I've been waiting for props/models of that movie for about 45 years;):p

Pic heavy update...Dragoncon is just around the corner!
