1980's Flash Gordon Props?

Hey Gang-
I am a big Flash Gordon fan....how big you ask? Well let's just look at a few items from Rocketbobs collection......

Well there is some of it. I actually had to pull Klytus out of his box, I didnt have any pictures of him yet. He will get his own post once I take some studio pictures of him...he deserves his own post dont you think.

The picture of me and the cool display case is me and part of my collection that is on loan to the Seattle Sci Fi museum. Better hurry its coming home in August to my basement.

Anybody need reference or pictures feel free to hit me up.
 
Oh- I forgot to mention...all that stuff in the last Profiels auction was mine. So sold some did not. I am kinda glad I am getting my Hawkman sword back. I have tons of rare pictures and art. I am working on my FlashGordon1980.com website currently.

Looks great all together. Had no idea how your collection has grown since our visit. the sci fi museum should name a wing after you.

How about the PIH auction. 40,000. for you know what. WOW..

That 40K PIH auction. I know crazy man. That was my helmet and pants and boots...I sold them to buy the Ajax. Not for no 40K. Go figure. I still have my Pack and am in process in getting replacement props for the rest.

i would love some shots of the klytus mask. every once in a while i get the sculpting bug, and i think this may be something i can actually do :lol

front, side, back, with a ruler, whatever ya got im good :D

I have the Queen Flash Gordon soundtrack. That's the end of my collection.

I also have a CD from a rock-a-billy band called War Rocket Ajax. Best band name EVER.

I just got Klytus. I know there is another one out in the world, that seems like it is the hero one. It is hard to say what function mine had in the film. It has a movable jaw, but they put some kind of bondo a half inch thick on the inside of it to make it a solid piece. Maybe the "throw on the spikes" stunt version or the "oozing eyes" version. Who knows.

I am currently in the planning stages of casting myself a "back up" copy in case this one gets damaged.

That is some of the coolest stuff I have ever seen....

Rocketbob - you need those two undershirts Flash wore - the one with the bolt and the other with the Hawkman symbol.

If you guys ever get a chance to check out the Queen video for PLAY THE GAME Freddie Mercury wears the Flash shirt in the video
 
Thanks gang. I am very proud of my collection. It is getting a bit large. I actually need to make it smaller. I look like a metalic gold arms dealer over here.

I have been able to get some really wicked items over the last year that has really made my collection cool. The Tim Dalton, Barin vest is amazing, and currently my favorite item. Well maybe the Ajax.....well maybe the PigGuard.

If anybody has any Flash leads, as always PLEASE let me know.

A bit OT, but does anyone think a remake of Flash Gordon with new CGI would be a good thing? Or should the classic film be left alone?

I wonder how well a "new" Flash film would fare at the box office? I know I'd pay to go see it :)
