1976 Blue One X-Wing Reference.

Wondering if any more reference of the original blue x-wing exists. Can't seem to find anything other than this one photo. It's my understanding the model was repainted as Red 2 and so doesn't exist today in this configuration. Any info/pics is a great help! Thanks.

There is quite a bit of reference on Blue Leader in Chronicles.
I believe 3 or 4 pages dedicated to it.

My copy is packed, or I’d take some screen shots. Maybe someone else will chime in with a few pics.

Gotta say, one of the greatest things the original films ever did was photograph just about everything behind the scenes.
Not sure if that mandate came for Lucas, or Alan Ladd, or anyone else, but all those pictures are priceless.

Are the American and Japanese Chronicles the same books, just localized? Or are they separate books that just share the same title? And if so, what are the differences? If you know

No, they are not the same. The Blue Leader pics are in the Japanese Chronicles, the Vehicles book.

As I said earlier, my copy is packed, as we are moving next month. This book has a big section on both X&Y wings that is fantastic.

Wow…I just saw that used copies of this edition are going for $600+!!!!! I bought mine new for like $100
