Here is my collection of toys from Gerry Anderson tv shows of the 1960's. They are nearly all made by Rosenthal.

Nice vehicles and a nice size.

I had a beat up copy of the gray Thunderbird 1 I rescued (see what I did there) from a electric substation back in the 70's.

(Children: Buy all your vintage toys from Ebay and trusted sites. Never play in sub-stations. This is something that your silly parents and grandparents would have done in their youth. It was a different time back then)

They did, Thunderbird 2, Fab1, SPV, SPC and MSV from Captain Scarlet. Joe's car and Sam's car from Joe 90. Gabriel from The Secret Service, Interceptor, mobile and Straker's car from UFO and eagles from Space 1999.

I beat the hell out of mine as a kid, I distinctly remember taking a Hammer to my Shado2 tank!
Lots of strange colour choices with those Dinky vehicals, I painted my Sam's car blue but loved the fact you pulled it back and a spring loaded mechanism shot it forwards..

Funny enough I found a Captain Scarlet car deep under a Rosemary bush yesterday!

EDIT finally took photo..

A little weathered but it's been in compost for almost thirty years. I think it came out of a packet of Kellogs?

This takes me back to my childhood. Loved the Thunderbirds, Captain Scarlet, Stingray, Joe 90, U.F.O. and Fireball XL5. I have some of the Thunderbirds small figures, TB1, TB2 , but not the other great vehicles. I use to watch Space 1999 but not one of my favorites.

I loved the Thunderbirds musical theme, use to march to it as a kid. Learned recently that Gerry Anderson was in the RAF, and that influenced him when creating Thunderbirds.

Thanks Kevin D. I recently began looking for my sons toys that have reverted to me now that they are men. Not much to look at but I'm glad i still have them!
