Does anyone have any info on 1940-50's U.S. Passports?
I am looking for some text on this layout.

The word at the top center and the 2 lower ones on the left.
Any other info and images pertaining to this type of passport would be appreciated as well.

Also does anyone know the best place to get a blue passport cover with the metallic gold text and logo?

Thanks.

Thanks for pointing out my typing error.:$
It's been corrected.

I though that's what the top on was but couldn't be sure.

Thanks.

And by the way, Disney's was a 1965 passport, so looks like they kept the format for awhile.

Actually, that is more of a 1960s style pasport. The ones from the 40s and 50s looked very similar to the ones from the 30s only with a different font for a lot of the text.

Kind regards,

Thanks.
The one I am working on has some different text and word placement than the WED 60's version

The one I posted above is from 46, the one I am working on is 1950-60.

Really? I've got an original that looks just like that which was issued in '74!

Here are two special passports from '43 and '56 that are still in the 1930s style:

Maybe the standard passports were updated earlier... I've got a small collection of original passport images, so anything you can share would be helpful.

Greatly, Thank You.
Is there a title page before the personal information?

Any ideas on a source for the blue cover?

Yes, there is a title page on this era passport, would have to check for you though. And the cover of this period was actually more of a grey-green, not blue.

Kind regards,
Indy
