Hi.

it´s a pleasure to me, to show you a picture of my 12 inch Stop Motion Figures I sculpted and built for "Powerplay Of Forces". a
A 70 minute Stop Motion Movie that we made between 1991 and 1996. I think some of you had already heard of the movie.
The story playes between EP4 and EP5 and came from Michael Ördög and me.

Today I´d like to start with showing you my C3-Po figure that I made when I was 17 years old. This is the first from over 300 Star Wars figures that I like to show you on this board.
Please let me know if you like threads like this, and if I shall continue.

Here are some shots of the finished figure, first:

The third one is an autograph from Anthony Daniels he gave me on a picture with my figure on Jedi Con 1994. On Jedi Con 1997 he even knew my name. That makes me very happy when I think of it today.

How I built C3-Po: The figure had to be completely moveable. So I had to make the figure completely out of vacuumed plastic sheet with the exception of the head that I casted in resin. I guess the head was the first little silicone mould I ever made. So the process was to sculpt part for part and to connect the hollow vacuumed part with bolts and rubber bands. Even the fingers and feet are moveable, and I installed light inside the eyes. It all worked out to be one of the best working Stop motion figure of the movie.

I had to cover my C3-Po all over with beatgold and beatsilver. Because as you know from my Hook thread I was always looking for someone who can plate for me. Without sucess. Only one company said they´ll do it. But they had a fire in their company, and weren´t able do continue.
Here are some shots of C3-PO in my movie. Some Shots show him not covered with beatgold some do. We decided that this is another 3Po unit. So it makes four 3-PO units that have been seen on screen. The other two has been only one that I brushed silver and rebrushed in light blue.
Here are some Shots that shows him "on stage":

We had built 63 Stages as a team of 5 people.
After the success of the Star Wars- the Special Edition we often had been asked to give interviews for TV, radio and newspapers, or to show the movie in cinemas - for example before the premiere of Episode1. So that´s we did. Finally here are some photos of several exhibitions:

This video shows him as well:

Well, I suggest starting with regular TK, followed by Sandys and Scouts.
Oh and if you happen to have a Tie-Pilot, bring him on as well...

Thanks in advance! :thumbsup
