1/9th Scale Jaws Orca (NECA Size)

Thank you for all your best wishes. It's the radiation that's scaring the hell out of both of us. Doctors have told us the radiation treatment will burn part of her upper liver. There's no way around it. There is also a 10% chance the right side of her heart could be burned. This also happened the first time around when they burned the top of her heart. You could see the burn mark the first time. It was like a T on her back, which burned her lung,..obviously,...heart, and throat. Just knowing the possibilities is scary as hell. After the first week, if she responds well to the treatment, she'll be able to stay home, if not, they will admit her as an in patient. That will kill me, but something we'll have to deal with.
Monday at 10am is the beginning of both radiation and chemo for the next 6 months.
This is my last post about the "C" word. Hopefully I'll have good news in 3 to 6 months. See you then.

You and your wife are in my thoughts...

Hi everyone, It's been a month and a half. My wife is doing well with the chemo, but she is going to have an operation to take her lung out in late September early October. The tumor is pressing on her Aorta and slowing blood flow causing her lung to collapse further. It is what it is. The doctors are doing everything they can. One more month of Chemo, Two months of recovery from the operation, Then back to chemo to go after the tumor.

This week I had about 3hrs to work on the boat. I've started the mast, mast wiring, and pieces to the mast. You're right Filmzy, The mast has a ton of small intricate work Tried my hand at soldering with a torch. So far so good with the triangle piece. Needs some clean up, but it's strong with the plumbing silver solder.

As a little side reading while I'm sitting in doctors offices and therapy with my wife
