1/72 Star Wars figures for diorama

I'm having a krap time of it finding things I can use for my Hoth Echo base hangar in 1/72. I've searched all the scale soldiers on various sites, I do have the 5 "relaxed" pilot set coming, I had some stuff from the MPC Cantina scene model, got some German Mountain troops that will do painted correctly...I even stumbled on the Hero's something or other where you can design your own (very limited options) and that's not going to cut it either. Shapeways is also limited as to what they have...anyone know where a guy can acquire such things? I really don't get it why more of that sort of thing isn't out there. Hobbylinc has more different stuff than you can shake a stick at, but no SW. I'd guess there has to be designers around that will work up something from photos and load it for 3D printing, but who? I did ask a couple of designers the sell on Shapeways, that do have limited SW items, but they didn't sound like they were willing to get on this particular horse and expand their offerings. Seriously, I can't be the only chump on the hunt for this stuff...or am I?

I think Micromachines are 1/72. There was an Echo Base soldiers set-

1/72 should be about an inch tall for figures. I've been working on 1/72 clones for the Revell Gunship from a few years ago. I 3D print them on my own personal printer, they don't pass the tests on Shapways for the Frosted Detail options. Working on offering them for sale here, still need to finalize a few things.

EDIT

Forgot to mention, at 1/72 most weapons/equipment become very small and don't always print well, or if they do, they're fragile. The mass produced ones tend to be blown up for stability

hey, thanks for the info. I do have a set of those with Vader, obiwan, Han, Luke, etc, but they seem a bit on the tiny side compared to the 1/72 stuff I have acquired. Some had made the comment that they believed that micro machines were of the 1/87 variety? they are smaller. I'm just looking for like the base personnel "in the hangar", no drawn weapons required. A Lea in her snow gear talking to the group of pilots would be awesome, maybe some tauntauns with and without riders...I know, I'm asking a lot ain't I !? if it doesn't exist...it just doesn't. Just have to keep on the lookout for things I can modify and make passable. appreciate you chiming in on this though :thumbsup you might be the only one who does :confusedQUOTE=computergeek;4423578]I think Micromachines are 1/72. Hi Russ,

Falcon 3D Parts may have something your looking for. Close to the bottom of the page are some SW 1/72 scale figures. You may want to contact him and maybe he can scale down some of his other larger SW figures

Thanks Scott, I have seen those, unfortunately I'm where I always seem to find myself...looking for things that I thought should exist, but don't :wacko
