So by lucky coincidence, the Hot Wheel Solo speeder is pretty much spot on for 1/72 (At least basing the scale off the Han figure).
Not sure how it measures out to official numbers, but the figure seems to be 1/72 and it looks appropriately sized compared to the vehicle, so, if it walks like a duck....
At any rate, the plastic fin had to go since it looks way out of scale and was one of the things keeping it looking very toy like. Also the gloss paint and terrible paint blobby paint job in the figure
So after some hacking away I replaced it with a brass one. I also added some engine details with styrene tube and strips. I also dipped the windshield in Future polish
Not perfect, but good enough for a hot wheels toy I got for a few dollars from the bargain bin
And did a repaint using Vallejo Dark Prussian Blue as the main color
Here it is with some Bandai 1/72 figures for size/scale comparison. Looks right to me scale wise.
I used the instrument panel decal from the Bandai 1/72 A-Wing kit for the instrument panel as well as hand painted the other interior details

I need to fix the stripe on this side. I got a bit of bleed in parts. Or embrace it as damage from when he ran into the guard rail and add a bit more silver to make it look like scratches
