The only diffirence between this one and the RoG version is the price (Rog is about $30+ more)

This is a great model and one of the few that are actually accurate. This was a result of Revell actually listening to us Submarine modelers especially us radio control freaks.

These make great radio controlled subs. Here's the page on mine I've had for a few years now. It was a steal before. Now it's just silly the price. Get one if you love WW2 subs.
