Uhhnnn let me see:
-Fist version os TOS Polar Lights was made with help of the Kerr planes, that took a lot of effort (suposed) measuring the original mopdel (now on Smithsonian after failed restorations), and with original photographs on set in the 60's.
But at first view many fans in few seconds found many mistakes. So they had to repair, fill and sandpaper, cut things, rebuild details... a lot of work.
-Time pass... Ker planes got better, new measurements, new HD photos and even digital 3D plan comparing angle and camera focusing, to try to match the model to the angle of the original studio photos. Suposed get many correction and nerar perfection.
- A new polar Lights kit surfaces, very expansive, a lot larger, and again by few seconds looking many fans found many mistakes... ...again... Tick gride lines instead of a fine grid line.
When they will learn to use fans to judge the product before final releaee?
In History of platmodelism... What kit was considered very good that no model maker had to rebuild or reform to correct project deffects, mistakes?
