Here is the model on display from a recent visit to my local Hobbyshop, AAA HOBBIES and Crafts in Magnolia, NJ.

The Neck/Dorsal is clear coated in a gloss...again, per the original Filming miniature.

Yaknow, after all these years I just realized the one real advantage of building the Pike Enterprise is you can be 100% screen accurate and not do a stich of lighting...

Added some subtle weathering, per the Pilot...even the splotchy weathering on the deflector dish!

Looks cool. Didn't even realize there was a difference between the pilot version and the one from the main series. Need to pay more attention.
