From what I understand, from your "FRIEND" Rich,
You havent even BOUGHT one of these, or on any kind of wait list.
So, that tells everyone you're just stirring the pot for the sake of doing so.
And you want to Lecture ME about contributing to the HOBBY??

You did a great job.

I like the concept version better. That broken line the made the underside profile on the screen used one never set with me.

of this discussion! Your right I don't buy any kits and have never been on a wait list! I make my models and show people how I do it thats my contribution to the hobby. And if you go back and read I said the GK end of it offers a great avenue for people who cant build their own models, or obtain never before

I know, humor is so hard to find in asci text. However I find this really funny and ironic, that the ONE person who is actually OWED a kit, has said something, and Im completely sympathetic. EVERYONE else, has yet to say ANYTHING. Except the one "friends of Rich" who didnt even order a kit. Classic example of WHATS wrong with the board.
I pipe in saying that Im trying to help, and I get both barrels.

I think, Someone wants to BE something special, and liked by everyone, and wants everyone to hear his opinion on stuff just because he graced us with opening his mouth.

3D. Safe to say...everyone already has you as figured out as they need to be.

Infact, sincerely, I think you help redefine "SPECIAL".

Maybe we can get back to getting the nice folks who ordered stuff, their kits without any further SPECIAL pointless and unimportant SPECIAL interruptions.

I need to say one last thing to Rich as a friend or now a X-friend?
I have tried to shame you here into keeping your accountability,
as a friend in this manner! I have talked to you many times about this subject,and this very thing, I just didn't know you owed people.

Do you think this guy Frank is your friend? Doesn't matter if
he came to you or you went to him, he is not worried about your accountability!
If he was he would tell you to try to find a way to finish yourself! At the end of the day he makes money off your hard work, and your going to be known as the guy that has to get others to delver what you can't!

I've known Frank, Richard, and Michael a while now - all you guys are talented as heck, friendly as heck, selfless as heck, willing to talk shop (as heck!), and all three of you guys deliver. I hope everyone goes back to sniffing glue, ticking those to-do things off the list, daydreaming about young women, and building space toys!

FYI, Richard approached me for help. The details of that deal are really none of YOUR or anyone else business.

I have YET to have ANYONE, who is owed an XWING express directly to me any form of unhappiness or said "Frank, when you finish the XWINGS, DONT SEND ME ONE, ILL WAIT FOR RICH. ESPECIALLY SINCE 3D has SCHOOLED HIM ON ACCOUNTABILITY."

You know, this isnt my first RODEO. All parties involved usually come out happy.
I know 9 people who ATST that might still be waiting for them, somehow, a deal that worked for Steve and I helped all fore mentioned parties involved.

you mentioned, I don't even see how that fits into this!

Masters are on the way to Frank right now. I'm also making full decals for all the markings (orange and grey stripes) If you don't want to use them, you can use them as a guide for painting. Those that have a kit already just let me know and I can send a set as soon as I get them all printed up.

Frank's kit will come with them.

I have some points to raise as a matter of due process. This matter is between effected parties and effected parties only. It is not at all helped by anyone who is NOT involved in anyway with the transactions and contracts raised to pass judgement without having any experience in the case. The personal sentiments expressed do not help resolve the situation agreeably or effectively.
If somebody ,such as has happened here, has had a problem fullfilling his contract to produce a product but then needs to seek help to get it done , then its a creditable step to take to get someone else to assist. Frank, now that I know who he is on the forum, has made some excellent kits and has fullfilled all commitments and contracts he has had as a producer of garage kits. I am content to wait for his product, providing the timescales involved are not huge. I will wait for his estimates, based obviously on the list length of backorders and when he gets the molds from Richard. I admire anyone who is willing to step up to the mark to help out anyone who has had a problem with production of garage kits, which appears to be a thankless task at best.
However, I should point out that it is inadvisable, upon hitting a problem in production to keep making promises that are none deliverable to the customers. That calls into question the crediblity of the time scales involved. Given that a substantial number of kits were produced rapidly and it was readvertised as an "almost finished run" then it is not surprising the delays have been called into question by people waiting.So far the longest I have waited for is up to a year for one kit but the production values on that were spectacular. However,full payment and delivery of that product then occured in less than four weeks.So when producing and then sending product it is really all about being accurate. If you do not, then thats when questions will be asked. I should point out it is really pretty inexcusable to then sell apparently excess production numbers of the kit for sale through another model website.
I do not understand why things have happened as they have, it is against the grain of a usually well respected kit producer to have had issues of this nature, and I feel currently assured that both he and Frank are taking every step to resolve the issue with all haste and thus limit the damage. Garage kits are a hobby that some have been willing to try and share amoungst those of us who are unable to make and build our own and I very pleased and proud to have some of those examples in my possesion. What ever the issue that occur in production they remain between the parties concerned who produce them and those of us that have paid the money for them to be produced, and I would request as a matter of courtesy, that only the effected people involved post information concerning it here.
 
Hi ALL , I have dealt with Rich before , but everyone is going to have a different opinion depending on their experience.
All I can say is that I bought this and is freakin" awesome, if you can wait ......this is what you will have!!
Richard has done an excellent transaction and job! (at least with me).

I have also received my kit from Richard within couple of weeks and I cant complaint about his communication.
