Rel do you have any higher res pics of this as I would love to replace my existing desktop pic (you may know it, its the second pic on this tread ;-) ) with this one but it is at too low a res.

I've only just begun to make small molds and resin casts for 1/96th scale Civil War ironclad cannon. I can't imaging how to go about making a mold as big as you have there!

REL,

LOVE your work and dedication to this model, BRAVO !

To me, this particular McQuarrie's painting will forever symbolize the true STAR WARS spirit, the spirit of the 70's, inherited in part of the elegance found in 2001 : a Space odyssey...

An elegance that was later sadly lost on the second trilogy and that ripped forever my interest in STAR WARS.

Long live Ralph McQuarrie & Joe Johnston !!! (and Nilo Rodis Jamero, to a certain extend)

Fred

PS : Doug Chiang's designs suck.

Thanks.

People have asked what the styrene pieces are, here's the part of the instructions that explains that.

I'll make a pdf document with these instructions when I'm finished so they can be printed out.

I was at the Dollar Tree store looking for lights and found these.
Unfortunately I didn't look close enough at the flash light to notice it wasn't and LED.:rolleyes
Anyway either using the book light as is or replacing the larger reflector from the flash light these should work in the engines.
The book light is also the right size for the Moebius Mk II Viper (my original intended use)

Only a dollar each so it all works out.
